Colt First Generation Single Action Army Revolver in .32-20 W.C.F. with Scarce Long Fluted Cylinder Manufactured in 1915. Between 1913-1915, a total of only 1,478 Single Action Army revolvers are reported to have left Colt with factory fitted surplus long fluted cylinders from the Model 1878 revolvers with special features implemented into the cylinder for single action function including the stop notches and changes to the ratchet, typically seen in the 330001-331479 serial range per page 156 of "A Study of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver" by Graham, Kopec, and Moore. The top of the barrel has the two-line Colt Hartford address and "32 W.C.F." is on the left. The left side of the frame has the two-line patent dates followed by a Rampant Colt, and a factory triangle "VP" proof and the number "1" are on the left of the trigger guard. Matching visible serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and butt, unnumbered cylinder, and assembly number "739" on the loading gate and rear of the frame. "FERRON" and the non-matching number "352291" hand etched on the interiors of both factory grips.

  • Condition: Good, retains strong traces of original finish in protected areas, with smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, light oxidation, a few scuffs on the barrel, and distinct markings. The grips are very good, with well-defined edges, a replacement section at the bottom front of the right grip, and defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
