United States Mint 1732-1982-D George Washington commemorative silver half dollar, struck to mark the 250th anniversary of Washington's birth. This uncirculated coin is presented in its original U.S. Mint packaging with descriptive insert and blue box featuring Washington's profile. Obverse depicts George Washington on horseback, while the reverse shows his Mount Vernon estate. Box jacket is marked Uncirculated. The coin measures 1.205" in diameter and weighs 0.4019 troy ounces. It is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, with a total fine silver content of .3617 troy ounces. Designed by Elizabeth Jones, Chief Sculptor and Engraver of the U.S. Mint, this example was struck at the Denver Mint and carries the D mintmark.
