An impressive and generously proportioned fine cut crystal pedestal centerpiece bowl, masterfully executed with brilliant hand-cut floral, fan, and vertical mitre-cut decoration throughout. The elegantly flared bowl is adorned with a repeating band of stylized tulip blossoms beneath radiating fan cuts, while the lower body is enriched with elongated mitre cuts that beautifully refract light from every angle. The bowl is supported by a finely faceted pedestal terminating in a substantial square foot with deeply cut starburst decoration, lending both visual balance and architectural presence. The interior base is finished with a classic hobstar motif, a hallmark of quality crystal craftsmanship. Large decorative crystal centerpieces of this scale were produced by some of Europe's most respected glasshouses—including Waterford (Ireland), Val Saint Lambert (Belgium), Webb Corbett (England), and Bohemian workshops of Czechoslovakia—during the mid-20th century. While this example is unmarked, it displays the crisp cutting, substantial weight, and exceptional brilliance associated with luxury European crystal production.
