Scarce Large Original Tudor Era, 16th Century English Executioners Beheading Axe w/ Ash Wood Hasp. This rare historical Axe used in the removal of heads during Tudor Era of England during the early to mid 16th century (1520's-1550's). The head of the Axe measures approximately 13.0 inches long with a blade edge measuring 9.25 inches and a 8.50 inch neck. The overall length is 30.0 inches from haft to head. Beautiful Ornate Design typical of England. Provenance: Antique Axe Collection from a former Museum in Edinburgh Scotland.

  • Condition: The blacksmith made head of the Axe is very well constructed and it has a large still sharp cutting edge with many nicks present. The Ash wood shaft is in excellent condition for its age but does appear it has been replaced. All sturdy no loose fittings.
