Specific copy includes two distinct inscriptions in the plate by the artist. The work is by its 17-color lithographic cover titled L'Atelier de Cannes, printed by the Mourlot atelier in Paris. Cover is based on a 1956 composition by Pablo Picasso, which the artist later hand-embellished with additional colors and values for this specific publication. The cover, executed on heavy cream wove paper, depicts a stylized female figure in profile within an artist's studio, rendered in vibrant primary and secondary tones. The front cover bears a dedication at the top reading: pour Gilberte et Serge Picasso le 5.12.58. Gilberte Duclaud was the director of Galerie 65 and the author of the texts within this volume. The book was published by Galerie 65 in Cannes and printed by Imprimerie Devaye. It contains texts by Gilberte Duclaud and biographical information collected by Serge Chauby, featuring various artists of the French School, including a section on Tony Agostini with monochrome studio illustrations. Complete volume featuring a 1960 edition of Ces Peintres Nos Amis (Tome II). Interior page, featuring a black and white photographic portrait of Picasso, is inscribed in black ink: Pour Madame Duclaud Picasso.
