A collection of softcover periodicals titled The Train Collectors Quarterly, published by the Train Collectors Association. This group includes several issues spanning the early 1980s and one from the early 1990s, specifically Volume 29, Numbers 1, 2, and 4 (January, April, and July 1983); Volume 30, Numbers 2, 4, and 5 (April, July, and October 1984); and Volume 38, Number 2 (April 1992). The magazines are quarto in format with staple-bound wrappers. The covers feature various thematic designs, including a blue blueprint-style layout for the April 1983 issue highlighting the slogan Lionel had a better idea, the 30th Anniversary Convention issue for Pittsburgh (April 1984), and the Ozark Division Convention issue for St. Louis (April 1992). The internal content consists of specialized articles for model train enthusiasts, such as Dick Robinson's A Few More Stamping Variations, Bruce D. Manson, Jr.'s report on the 5484 locomotive, and Jim Burke's Tinplate Specials. The publications are profusely illustrated with black and white and color photography, technical diagrams, and hobbyist advertisements.
