This lot comprises a group of historical manuscript documents and correspondence primarily related to prominent Romanian figures from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A centerpiece of the collection is a two-page manuscript Document Signed (DS) titled Contract de Inchiriere, dated December 15, 1915, in Bucharest. This rental agreement for malt manufacturing equipment at the Bragadiru Spirit Factory is signed by G.G. Mironescu, who later served as Prime Minister of Romania, and Dr. Gh. Gheorghian, a former Mayor of Bucharest and academician. The document features an official 50 Lei revenue stamp. The correspondence includes a manuscript letter on official letterhead from the Chinovul Romanesc (Romanian Skete) of Mount Athos, No. 234, dated December 23, 1901. It is addressed to Iosif Gheorghian, Metropolitan Primate of Romania, and signed by Superior Antipa Jeromonahul. A three-page manuscript letter from Cernauti, dated May 10/22, 1899, bears the signatures of five professors from the theological faculty, including Euseviu Popovici, Constantin Popovici, Emilian Voiutschi, Teodor Tarnavski, and Dr. Vasile Gaina. Also present is an Autograph Letter Signed (ALS) in French on gridded paper, dated October 1906, sent from the Phanar district in Constantinople and signed by Georges J. Papadopoulos, identified as a Turkish writer of Greek origin. The documents are housed in individual protective plastic sleeves with typed descriptive labels.
