A trio of solid bronze commemorative Christmas plates produced by the Wendell August Forge of Grove City, Pennsylvania. Each plate is hand-forged with a characteristic hammered or planished texture on the reverse and rims, featuring a high-relief embossed scene on the front face. The set includes three consecutive years from the annual collection: 1989, 1990, and 1991. The 1989 plate is titled Building a Snowman and depicts two children decorating a snowman in a winter landscape with a stone cottage. The 1990 plate is titled Trimming the Tree and shows a family decorating a large interior Christmas tree beside a grandfather clock. The 1991 plate is titled Grandmas Christmas Kitchen and illustrates a woman and two children preparing holiday food in a kitchen with a decorated tree visible in the background. The reverse of each plate is marked with the circular Wendell August Forge handmade stamp containing a blacksmith at an anvil. These stamps include the numbers 80 for the 1989 issue and 90 for the 1990 and 1991 issues, alongside various workshop marks such as a quatrefoil, a stylized D, or an I symbol. The back of each plate further bears the inscription LIMITED EDITION, the respective title, SOLID BRONZE, and a unique registration or serial number. Individual serial numbers are 1438 for the 1989 plate, 101 for the 1990 plate, and 2112 for the 1991 plate. Each plate features the year in a rectangular cartouche at the bottom center of the front face. Diameter: 7.75 inches each.
