An assortment of seven antique and vintage hardcover volumes primarily consisting of 19th-century American educational texts and regional history. The group includes A Sequel to Websters Elementary Spelling Book by William G. Webster, published by Lippincott, Grambo and Co., featuring paper-covered boards and a cloth spine. Also present is McGuffeys New Fourth Eclectic Reader, published in Cincinnati by Wilson, Hinkle and Co., with printed illustrated boards and a leather spine, and Goodrichs New Sixth Reader featuring a decorative, heavily embossed leather-backed binding with an ornate monogram on the front board. Historical and professional titles include A History of Kentucky bound in blue cloth with an embossed cover; A New School History of the United States in brown boards with a leather spine; and Nelsons Book-keeping in a dark cloth binding with gilt lettering. The collection also features a later volume titled James Chenoweth: The Story of One of the Earliest Boys of Louisville and Where Louisville Started by Alfred Pirtle, published in 1921, bound in blue cloth with ornate gilt vine borders. The books are generally in octavo format. Visible publisher imprints include Lippincott, Grambo and Co. and Wilson, Hinkle and Co.

SHIPPING. Shipping may take 2 to 4 weeks. Bidders with an out of state address will automatically be set to ship unless pick-up arrangements are made during the pick-up days. We ship through a local 3rd party company, Fragile Pack, 502-423-0000. They collect all paid for items every Thursday (subject to change if schedules conflict), take them back to their location, pack it all up and will call you directly to verify the shipping address, collect shipping payment and provide all tracking information. Failure to complete the shipping, refusing to complete the shipping or in the event items are returned by the shipper due to no contact the items will be forfeited, your account will be disputed and banned from future sales, no refund will be issued. Shipping estimates unable to be given by the house and requests will be ignored. You can however, call the shipper directly.
