French mid-century modern lacquered exotic veneer sideboard, c.1960s, likely in Macassar ebony or rosewood veneers, with stringwork inlay, two pairs of cabinet doors enclosing adjustable shelving, one side also with four drawers, framing central fall-front bar cabinet with woven parquetry and glass-lined interior, equipped with shaped glass shelf, on tapering legs and metal-capped feet, approx 39"h, 104"w, 21.25"d

  • Condition: 06/29/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT: 1150- please refer to the online images for the best views as the cabinet is highly reflective, any white observed is simply glare, the cabinet remains sturdy and structurally sound, the lacquer is overall well retained exhibiting expected small imperfections, minor losses, nicks and surface wear, the black trim to the upper left corner exhibits a blemish/finish loss? at corner as pictured, the top displays surface wear of varied degrees throughout with stable lifting, scattered imperfections and nicks along the front and rear edges with some minor lifting, there is a scuff to the center trim above the fall front, see image, the doors operate smoothly, the interior displays expected light wear consistent with use, the hardware exhibits spotting and patination, the drawers slide well but would likely benefit from waxing to facilitate smoother operation, there is a very small minor chip to the center glass panel at left front edge, the added door chain on left cabinet door is currently in two sections and needs to be reattached, there is expected wear and nicks are noted along the lower door edges from use, the front legs show heavy tonal variation, finish loss, abrasions and scuffs, metal caps show some patination, all mentioned commensurate with age, handling and use, overall the cabinet presents well
