An elegant six-piece porcelain vanity set produced by Andrea by Sadek under the esteemed Winterthur Adaptation collection, faithfully inspired by decorative arts from the renowned Winterthur Museum in Delaware. Beautifully decorated with delicate hand-painted sweet pea blossoms against a soft celadon-green ground with ornate raised gilt scrollwork, the set exemplifies timeless neoclassical elegance. The coordinated ensemble includes a shaped vanity tray, covered powder or trinket box, toothbrush holder, tumbler, matching cup, and a shaped soap dish. Rich gold accents and refined floral cartouches lend the set an unmistakably luxurious appearance, making it equally suited for functional use or decorative display. Founded in New York in 1936, Andrea by Sadek became one of America's premier importers of fine porcelain and decorative accessories, commissioning exceptional pieces from highly regarded Japanese porcelain manufacturers. The Winterthur Adaptation line was produced under license from the Winterthur Museum, translating important historic decorative arts into finely crafted porcelain for discerning collectors. This complete vanity ensemble is an attractive addition to traditional, Victorian, French Country, or Cottage interiors and is increasingly sought after by collectors of Andrea by Sadek and fine Japanese porcelain. Marked to the underside: "Winterthur Adaptation – Andrea by Sadek – Made in Japan."

  • Circa: Late 20th Century, circa 1980s–1990s.
  • Condition: Very good vintage condition. All porcelain pieces are free of chips, cracks, and repairs. Gilt decoration remains bright with only light age-related wear. The lidded box retains what appears to be its original wax insert, showing evidence of prior use. Overall, an exceptionally well-preserved complete vanity set.
