Enoch G. Gridley (Philadelphia, active 1803-1818) after John Coles, Jr. (Boston, 1778-1854). "Memorial for George Washington" engraving depicting various cherubs and allegorical female figures as well as a banner listing the battles of"Trenton, Princeton, Monmouth, and Yorktown." Circa 1800. Frame: 16 3/4" x 12 1/4". Provenance: Multiple engravings are located at the National Gallery of Art and Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.
