An elegant collection of five vintage porcelain and bone china teacup and saucer sets, assembled to showcase a diverse range of decorative styles spanning Europe and America during the early to mid-twentieth century. Each set displays its own distinctive artistic character, from richly gilded floral motifs to striking monochromatic colorways, making the group equally appealing for collectors, decorators, and afternoon tea enthusiasts. The collection includes a finely decorated Czechoslovakian porcelain teacup and saucer adorned with abundant floral bouquets and an ornate beaded gilt border, reflecting the high-quality porcelain production for which Czechoslovakia became renowned during the interwar years. A graceful trumpet-form demitasse cup with hand-painted pink roses provides an unusual sculptural silhouette, while another delicate floral example features soft violet blossoms highlighted by intricate gilt lattice ornamentation. Also included is a charming all-over rose pattern teacup with scalloped edges and generous gilded trim, representative of classic English cottage floral aesthetics. Completing the grouping is a bold cobalt blue cup and saucer produced for S.&C. San Francisco, whose vivid monochrome glaze and restrained gilded accents provide an attractive modern contrast to the more traditional floral examples. Together, these pieces offer an appealing survey of twentieth-century porcelain design, balancing romantic floral decoration with refined craftsmanship and vibrant color. Displayed together, they create a sophisticated cabinet presentation while also serving as beautiful individual additions to any collection of fine tea wares.

  • Literature: The collection includes porcelain produced in Czechoslovakia, a nation celebrated for its high-quality porcelain exports during the first half of the twentieth century, alongside an S.&C. San Francisco cobalt blue example manufactured for the American retail market. Together, the group reflects the enduring popularity of fine European tea wares and decorative porcelain among collectors throughout the twentieth century.
  • Circa: Circa 1925–1965.
  • Condition: Overall very good vintage condition with light age-related wear consistent with careful use. Minor rubbing to gilt decoration and expected surface wear. No significant chips or cracks observed in the photographed examples. Please review all photographs carefully as they form part of the condition report.
