THREE ICONS LIKELY OF EASTERN ORTHODOX OR BYZANTINE IN ORIGIN

Three religious icons appear to be of Eastern Orthodox or Byzantine in origin. The two larger wooden panel icons both depict the Virgin Mary (Theotokos) holding the Christ Child with the left panel rendered in a darker, more weathered palette of gold and muted tones, while the right panel retains more vivid reds and warm golds in the traditional Byzantine style. Between them sits a small gilded Russian traveler's metal icon or pendant.

  • Dimensions: Approx (large icons): 11 x 7 inches
