Pair Westmorland Silver Co. Prohibition-Era Sterling Silver Overlay Decanters
c. 1930s, USA
(2 pc) Sterling mounted frosted scotch & rye bottles
Prohibition-era or early 1930s Art Deco sterling silver overlay "back-bar" decanters. During this era, silversmiths like the Westmorland Silver Co. produced premium frosted barware where the script lettering and neck collars were bonded with genuine sterling silver.
The number "621" stamped alongside "Sterling" is the manufacturer's official design or catalog shape number, used to identify this specific style of barware bottle in their historic line. American silversmith Westmorland Silver Co. used specific 3-digit series numbers (like the Westmorland 621 line) to inventory their sterling hollowware and overlay items.
Stamped "Sterling 621" on one stopper , another stopper is slightly different in shape.
and "Sterling" on the bottles.

  • Dimensions: Both: 1 Quart / H. 13" x W. 3.75"
  • Condition: Age related wear , one stopper has a small nick.
