A copper buffalo nickel, minted 1936. The obverse design is a composite profile of Native American chiefs Iron Tail of the Oglala Sioux, Two Moons of the Cheyenne, and Big Tree of the Kiowa, with 'LIBERTY' on the upper right edge and the mint year at the bottom left; the reverse side features a buffalo standing on a flat expanse of ground, with inscription 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' along top edge and 'FIVE CENTS' at the bottom below the buffalo. Lacks a mint mark, indicating it was struck in Philadelphia. Weighs 5 grams.
