A carved wood tabernacle door with gilt and polychrome decoration. Continental, early 16th century. Depicting the Resurrected Christ emerging from the tomb, holding a banner of victory and set against a punchedand gilded ground. Retaining its original iron lock hardware and hinges. 17 1/2" x 10 1/2". Condition: Scratches, paint loss, cracks, and wear consistent with age and use.
