An impressive hand-blown art glass vase executed in the celebrated Murano style, distinguished by its elegant freeform silhouette, warm amber coloration, and dramatic sculptural profile. Rising an impressive 15 inches in height, the vase features an organically shaped body with two elongated, asymmetrical peaks complemented by gracefully curled handles that extend from each side, creating a dynamic and highly decorative composition. The body displays finely controlled vertical striations formed during the glassblowing process, lending depth and movement to the translucent amber glass. The fluid lines and expressive form exemplify the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic popularized by the master glassmakers of Murano, Venice, whose innovative techniques transformed decorative art glass into sculptural works of art admired throughout the world. Equally striking as a standalone statement piece or displayed with floral arrangements, the vase offers exceptional presence through its generous scale and elegant proportions. The softly tinted amber glass interacts beautifully with natural and artificial light, highlighting the craftsmanship and organic movement captured within the blown form. A handsome decorative object well suited for collectors of Murano-style art glass, Mid-Century Modern interiors, or sophisticated contemporary décor.

  • Literature: Comparable examples may be found among Murano freeform art glass produced by Venetian studios including Seguso, Fratelli Toso, Archimede Seguso, and other Italian makers active during the Mid-Century Modern period. Similar sculptural forms remained popular throughout the latter half of the twentieth century.
  • Circa: Late 20th Century
  • Condition: Very good overall condition. No visible chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Minor light surface wear and expected manufacturing characteristics, including small bubbles and variations inherent to hand-blown art glass. Presents exceptionally well.
