Exceedingly rare hooded merganser hen. 1936 style with slightly turned head, extended crest, and wide tail carving. Maker's ink stamp on underside. Also identified and inscribed "Made for John H. Moore, New York". The only example known. Measures 14.25" long.

  • Provenance: Provenance: Don Leonard collection.
  • Condition: Original paint with very minor wear on edge of tail and bill; some flaking to filler on top of head; slight separation at neck seat; small dents in back.
