A set of four sterling silver table forks produced by the Whiting Manufacturing Company in the Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891. Each piece is crafted from solid .925 sterling silver and features the elaborate Rococo Revival styling characteristic of the pattern, including ornate scrollwork along the handle edges and a shell motif at the terminal. The tapered handles lead to four elongated tines. The reverse of each handle is stamped with the Whiting Manufacturing Company maker marks consisting of a lion passant, an anchor, and a script letter W, followed by the word STERLING and the patent mark PAT. 1891. The front of each handle is engraved with a single script monogram letter J.
