An oval creamware platter featuring the Etruscan pattern, attributed to Josiah Wedgwood. The piece is characterized by a decorative reticulated rim with vertical piercings and a scalloped edge finished with black enamel. The central well is molded with an embossed basketweave texture and features a hand-painted black oval medallion containing a geometric diamond motif. An inner border of hand-painted foliate designs in orange, green, and black encircles the basketweave area. This Neale and Bailey ceramic weave-patterned oval plate with a pierced rim represents late 18th to early 19th-century English Staffordshire production. The reverse is finished in a uniform cream glaze and bears a circular collection sticker for the Rubin Collection.
