This lot consists of an assortment of softcover magazines titled Trains: The Magazine of Railroading, published by Kalmbach Publishing Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Included issues are dated June 1948, September 1954, November 1956, December 1956, January 1957, January 1967, and April 1970. The magazines are quarto-sized with pictorial wrappers and stapled bindings. Each issue features extensive black-and-white and color photography, maps, and illustrations pertaining to the history and technology of North American railroading. Notable internal articles include Cleaning a Diesel's Eye, Waiting for the Highball, and Steam in Indian Summer. The December 1956 issue features a color centerfold reproduction titled Starrucca Viaduct: A Period Painting. Visible markings include a yellow promotional cover sticker on the June 1948 issue advertising an article by Cornelius Vanderbilt and a handwritten paper note affixed to the cover of the September 1954 issue referencing the N.Y.C. System and Robert Young. One issue is preserved in a clear plastic sleeve.

The buyer is free to contact any shipping company they wish, as shipment is not limited to the agents provided by Atlee Raber Auctions.

In light of the current pandemic, ALL PICK-UPS will be scheduled with our office in advance to allow for all safety practices and precautions to occur.
