QUR'AN MANUSCRIPT LEAF WITH INTERLINEAR PERSIAN TRANSLATION

Framed manuscript leaf from a Persian Qur'an, dating from the 17th–18th century, presents the Arabic text in elegant black naskh script, with an interlinear Persian translation rendered in fine red script beneath each line. The page is further annotated with marginal commentary in Persian along the right-hand side, and red circular verse markers punctuate the Arabic text at the close of each ayah. Ruled in red ink and set within a delicate border, the leaf exemplifies the meticulous scribal tradition of devotional manuscript production in Persia. Framed. Not examined out of frame.
