(3 pc) Raphael Soyer (American, 1899-1987) Drawings
Mid - Late 20th Century, USA
Raphael Soyer was a Russian-born American painter, draftsman, and printmaker best known for his sensitive portrayals of everyday life in New York City. A leading figure in American Social Realism, he focused on ordinary people—workers, artists, models, and city dwellers—capturing them with empathy, dignity, and psychological depth. Soyer remained committed to representational art throughout his career, often depicting urban scenes, portraits, and introspective figure studies. His work is widely admired for its humanistic approach and its vivid record of Depression-era and mid-20th-century America.
Each Drawing signed by artist.
