Early 19th century, a English mahogany tea caddy with brass accents, Regency scroll lock escutcheon and bail top handle, boxwood/satin wood stringing parquetry. Three interior sections, two sections with lids and a center section with glass vessel for sugar, includes key, 6 3/4 in. H, 10 1/4 in. L, 5 1/2 in. D

  • Provenance: From the Estate of Robert A. Erlandson, longtime Baltimore Sun journalist and former London bureau chief (1980–1984). This collection of tea caddies was assembled over decades, with many examples acquired while he lived in England, and pieces from the collection have been featured in publications on tea caddies and antique boxes
  • Condition: Age appropriate wear
