This collection consists of five pieces of fraternal and labor organization regalia dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, primarily associated with Kent and Palmyra, Ohio. The lot includes three reversible silk ribbons, a representative pin, and a fraternal medallion. The Brotherhood Railway Carmen of America (BRCA) ribbon for Local Union No. 1122 in Kent, Ohio, features red, white, and blue vertical stripes. It is adorned with a metal top clasp showing a handshake motif and a central circular badge depicting the BRCA logo flanked by two American flags. The reverse side is black silk with silver-toned printing for In Memoriam use, featuring a handshake within a wreath. The Knights of Pythias (K. of P.) is represented by two lodges. The Diamond Lodge No. 136 ribbon from Palmyra, Ohio, features blue, yellow, and red stripes with an ornate metal top clasp containing a Member insert and a central multi-colored fraternal crest. The Achilles Lodge No. 378 ribbon from Kent, Ohio, has matching striped colors. Accompanying the Achilles ribbon is a three-part brass-toned medal featuring a lodge name bar, a Member bar, and an inverted triangle with the Pythian initials F C B (Friendship, Charity, Benevolence) and a knight head motif. The reverse of the Achilles Lodge medal components is stamped with the manufacturer mark: THE M. C. LILLEY & CO. COLUMBUS, O. Both K. of P. ribbons are reversible with black silk memorial sides. Additional items include a small rectangular metal pin with Representative printed on a cream insert and a circular silver-toned medallion featuring an ornate shield with the initials A.O.U.W., likely for the Ancient Order of United Workmen. All ribbons are finished with metallic fringe at the bottom.
