From the Rogers rig but unbranded. A plump bird in rare spring plumage with deeply carved eyes. “JS Fosdick” scratched in to the paint in underside. Measures 11” long.

  • Literature: Literature: “Shore Bird Decoys” by Henry A. Fleckenstein Jr., page 63, exact decoy pictured.
  • Condition: Original paint with minor flaking under an early coat of vanish that has darkened with age; bill appears original but was likely loose at one point, with a tiny nail added on one side of face to secure a long time ago.
