A handsome late Victorian electrified banquet or parlor oil lamp, retaining its original engraved clear glass font mounted above a richly figured black and green marble column raised on a stepped marble plinth with brass feet. The lamp displays finely cast brass mounts including a decorative burner gallery and elegant lyre-form harp supporting the shade. Particularly attractive is the acid-etched glass reservoir, ornamented with scrolling foliate decoration characteristic of quality American and European lighting produced during the final quarter of the nineteenth century. Originally manufactured as a kerosene lamp, the example has been professionally converted for electric use, preserving its period appearance while offering modern functionality. The richly veined marble column provides exceptional architectural presence, while the engraved font adds refinement and visual depth. An excellent decorative lighting piece well suited to Victorian, Neoclassical, or traditional interiors.

  • Condition: Condition: Converted to electricity. Brass with expected age-related oxidation and light wear. Marble appears free of major structural damage.
