Exceptional Early Production World War I German "1914" Dated DWM Model 1914 Artillery Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol Complete Rig with Matching Shoulder Stock and Holster, Double Magazine Pouch, First Model Trommelmagazin and MP-18 Adapter The chamber is dated "1914" on top, the inaugural year of LP.08 Artillery Luger production, and the "DWM" monogram is on the toggle link. Serial number "355" is a no-suffix first year example and places this pistol among the earliest production LP.08 pistols. It has a drift adjustable blade front sight, adjustable tangent rear sight, three crown above Gothic letter German military proofs on the right of the barrel extension, and imperial eagle firing proofs on the barrel, barrel extension, and breech block. The pistol has all matching visible full and partial serial number "355" marked on various components including on the firing pin and interiors of both checkered walnut grip panels. The nickel finished magazine is numbered to match on its walnut base with visible remnants of a previous number. Includes a board shoulder stock with matching number "355" on the iron section and a crown above Gothic letter stamp on the side, an artillery pattern brown leather holster, suspension strap, cleaning rod, takedown tool, leather double magazine pouch, two extra nickel finished magazines with walnut bases (one is numbered to match, the other is non-matching), and a first model "trommelmagazin" snail drum magazine numbered "55958" with MP-18 adapter present. A complete first-year LP.08 fighting rig with matching stock, matching magazine, and MP-18 compatible drum assembly is seldom encountered and represents a particularly desirable grouping for advanced Imperial Luger collectors. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to individuals in CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT, or WA. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.
