Entries include dated letters such as "Portsmouth 30th July 1824," "Portsmouth 10th Sept. 1824," and later 1827 entries, recording cargo weights, rigging and sail inventories ("14 coils," "2 topsails," "main staysail," "tarpaulins"), and logistical details of voyages between English ports including Portsmouth and Hayle. Several letters close with the signature "Your Obed't Serv't, Peter Cook." Bound in brown boards with leather spine, measuring 8-1/4" x 6-5/8".
