MCMLIII" surrounding, with sculptor's name, "W. HANCOCK" just beneath the bust; reverse has, "INAUGURATED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA JANUARY 20 1953" below an eagle

  • Provenance: one of only 872 struck in Silver; the medal sales committee reports selling only 788 medals in Silver and 25,685 medals in bronze
