This lot consists of two shallow, oblong ceramic dishes produced by Wedgwood and featuring experimental glazes. The first dish is finished in a deep, mottled reddish-brown glaze on the interior, with a solid black glazed underside. The second dish features a vibrant, deep blue glaze with a fine mottled or crystalline texture on the interior and a textured, light brownish-gray glaze on its exterior. Both pieces exhibit a rounded rectangular form with a recessed well. The base of the blue dish is stamped in block letters with WEDGWOOD over the initials N. W., identifying it as part of the specialized glaze series developed by designer and production manager Norman Wilson. Both dishes bear circular gray stickers for the Rubin Collection.
