Condition:
This clock is in working condition, having been recently removed directly from a client's wall. The main case is crafted from beautiful mahogany and includes all original wooden finials (currently detached and stored in a separate container for safe transport). Please note that the decorative top crown is an authentic replacement sourced from an oak version of the same clock model, exhibiting a slightly different wood grain and coloration. The original porcelain clock face displays prominent, age-appropriate spiderweb cracking and crazing, which enhances its antique character. The brass pendulum and internal movement show minor surface tarnish. As with any mechanical antique timepiece, professional adjustment and balancing may be required after shipping.

Item Description
Weight: 24lbs

Step back in time and feel the commanding presence of this magnificent late 19th-century wall regulator. In the Victorian era, a grand Ansonia clock was far more than a mere utility; it was the rhythmic heartbeat of the home. Positioned prominently in a foyer or parlor, its steady, resonant tick-tock was a symbol of familial stability, punctuality, and industrial-era sophistication. This stunning "Capital" model, encased in warm, luxurious mahogany, exudes an undeniable historic gravitas. From the classic brass bust gracing the top pediment to the brilliant gleam of the swinging brass pendulum through the glass door, this timepiece is a true statement of heritage craftsmanship.
