Item Description

Step into the golden age of jewelry design with this curated trio of vintage Mexican sterling silver earrings, celebrating the rich heritage of mid-century Taxco silversmithing. In the mid-20th century, Taxco became the epicenter of an artistic renaissance, drawing international acclaim for its master artisans who blended ancient Mesoamerican motifs with sleek modernist aesthetics. Among these legendary creators was the highly collectible workshop of Maricela (founded by Ysidro Garcia Pina), whose coveted mark is proudly stamped on the elegant, stylized leaf pair included in this lot. Another standout pair features breathtaking abalone shell inlays, meticulously hand-fitted to form the shimmering wings of whimsical butterflies, reflecting a kaleidoscope of ocean blues, greens, and pinks. Completed by a classic modernist pinwheel swirl pair, this collection is a testament to the timeless romance and robust artistry of Mexican silver.
