A group of 8 pieces by Soviet military leaders from World War II and beyond, includes: ANDREY KHRULEV (1892-1962), Head of Main Intendant Directorate of the Red Army (1939–1941), deputy chief of People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR and Head of Main Directorate of the Rear Services of the Red Army (from 1941). Typed D.S. 1p. legal folio, Oct. 29. 1946, the front page [only] of a memo regarding railways and maritime transportation; ANDRE GRECHKO (1903 - 1976) Soviet general who desperately resisted the German advance in the south, liberated Kiev and the Ukraine and occupied Prague. Signed May Day greeting card; SMEYON KURKOTKIN (1917 - 1990) Soviet Marshal, fought in the armored corps to become a brigade commander. Kurkotkin fought with the Voronezh Front and later the 1st Ukrainian Front. Signed October Revolution greeting card; NIKOLAI LYASHCHENKO (1910-2000) World War II general who fought on the Republican side in Spain. Signed New Year's greeting card; VIKTOR KULIKOV (1921-2013) Warsaw Pact commander in chief. Signed ‘Day of the Soviet Army' greeting card; PAVEL BATITSKY (1910 - 1984) Soviet Marshal, Chief of Staff of soviet military advisers to Chiang Kai-shek. In December 1953 he was chosen to personally execute Lavrenty Beria as part of a plot led by Nikita Khrushchev and assisted by the military forces of Marshal Georgy Zhukov. Signed ‘Day of the Soviet Army' greeting card; SERGEY SOKOLOV (1911-2012) Soviet marshal and Minister of Defense from 1984-1987. Signed October Revolution greeting card; and IVAN YAKUBOVSKY (1912 - 1976) Soviet Marshal, a tank commander who distinguished himself in the defensive battles in the Donets Basin in the summer of 1942 and in the defensive and offensive phases of the Battle of Stalingrad. Signed New Year's typed greeting, Dec. 1968. Together, eight pieces.
