A charming and decorative assembled collection of five ceramic and porcelain cabinet plates spanning a variety of makers, styles, and decorative traditions. The group includes a large hand-painted vegetable motif serving charger featuring stylized onions, grapes, corn, and squash; a Delft-style polychrome plate centered with a traditional Dutch windmill landscape; a Royal Doulton Holly Hobbie collector's plate depicting the beloved Sarah Kay-inspired character with the inscription "Love is a way of smiling with your heart"; and two elegant floral porcelain cabinet plates with gilt embellishments and delicate botanical decoration. The floral examples display refined transfer-printed blossoms accented with gilt borders, representative of late Victorian and early 20th century decorative porcelain intended for cabinet display. The Delft-style example features richly colored border ornament surrounding a classic blue landscape medallion, while the Royal Doulton Holly Hobbie plate reflects the immensely popular 1970s collectible series produced under license by Royal Doulton. Completing the group is an attractive large hand-painted earthenware charger with bold fruit and vegetable decoration in a rustic country style. An appealing decorative assortment well suited for wall display, country kitchen décor, cottage interiors, or as an addition to a collection of vintage decorative ceramics.
