A Papal States ecclesiastical silver statue crown, circa 1850. The openwork crown formed with scrolling acanthus leaves and floral motifs beneath a globus cruciger finial, intended for the adornment of a devotionalsculpture or Marian figure. The rim engraved “GIUSEPPE LATINI DONO ET FECIT ANNO 1850,” indicating the crown was donated and made by Giuseppe Latini in 1850. Marked with Papal States silver hallmarks for Rome (1815–1870),889/1000 silver standard, and a maker’s mark. 7.66 ozt. 7" x 6". Condition: Crown misshapen.
