Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this early large cent features the classic Draped Bust. The obverse depicts Liberty facing right with flowing hair and the inscription LIBERTY above and the date 1807 below. The reverse bears the denomination ONE CENT encircled by a laurel wreath, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the rim and the fraction 1/100 below the wreath. Composed of pure copper, this coin represents one of the final issues of the Draped Bust series before the introduction of the Classic Head design in 1808.
