CHIPPENDALE WALNUT AND PARCEL GILT WALL MIRROR
Circa 1770
Elaborately carved and scrolled crest with a central gilt leaf cluster set within an open circle. Similarly carved and scrolled ears and pendant. Rectangular mirror plate surrounded by a gilt slip and ogee molding. Basswood backboard suggests an American origin.
