A collection of softcover railroad-themed magazines, journals, and instructional booklets, primarily in quarto format. The grouping includes multiple issues of Ties: The Southern Railway Historical Association Magazine, with visible editions comprising First Quarter 2012 (Vol. 26, No. 1), Third Quarter 2012 (Vol. 26, No. 3), Fourth Quarter 2012 (Vol. 26, No. 4), Third Quarter 2014 (Vol. 28, No. 3), and First Quarter 2015 (Vol. 29, No. 1). Several issues of Central Headlight, published by the New York Central System Historical Society, are present, including the 40th Anniversary 1970-2010 issue (Vol. XL, No. 3), Second Quarter 2010 (Vol. XL, No. 2), and Fourth Quarter 2011 (Vol. XLI, No. 4). publications include two 1957 issues of the New York Central Headlight (April Annual Report Issue and July), Rails Northeast (May 1976), The New Prototype Modeler (September-October 1982), and Mainline (July 1990). Other titles include The Sentinel from the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Historical Society (Vol. 33, No. 1, First Quarter 2011), Collectibles Illustrated (Vol. 1, No. 3) featuring a special section on railroadiana, and a model railroading book titled HO Railroad that grows by Linn H. Westcott. The items are generally staple-bound and feature technical diagrams, historical essays, and photographic plates detailing various locomotives and rail networks including the Southern Railway and New York Central System.

Atlee Raber Auctions will coordinate in house packing & shipping (at buyer's expense) with on all items we deem as suitable for shipping, as a courtesy service to our customers.

It is the bidder's responsibility to take shipping costs into consideration when bidding on these items.

Shipping methods may include FedEx, UPS, USPS or whatever method is best. Atlee Raber Auctions cannot be responsible for loss or damage to the items during shipping.

Large items, such as furniture, large signs, neon, etc, will exclusively be FOR PICK-UP ONLY or for private courier delivery as selected by the winning bidder or recommended local agent from Atlee Raber Auctions.


The buyer is free to contact any shipping company they wish, as shipment is not limited to the agents provided by Atlee Raber Auctions.

In light of the current pandemic, ALL PICK-UPS will be scheduled with our office in advance to allow for all safety practices and precautions to occur.
