An attractive and varied collection of seven decorative trinket boxes, including several hand-painted Limoges porcelain examples with hinged gilt-metal mounts, accompanied by complementary decorative keepsake boxes in crystal, carved stone, and porcelain. Highlights include a Peint Main Limoges oval porcelain box decorated with a fruit still life on a cobalt blue ground, retaining its Certificate d'Authenticité; a whimsical butterfly-decorated egg-form Limoges box with butterfly clasp; a cut crystal cylindrical box with hand-painted porcelain lid; and a charming birthday cake-form Limoges-style porcelain box complete with miniature spoon. Also included are a floral porcelain casket raised on gilt feet, a carved soapstone box with hardstone floral inlay, and a small white porcelain vanity or dressing-table form box featuring miniature cosmetic accessories. The city of Limoges, France has been internationally celebrated for producing the world's finest hard-paste porcelain since the late eighteenth century. Hand-painted ("Peint Main") Limoges boxes have become highly collectible for their exceptional craftsmanship, intricate decoration, and imaginative forms, serving as treasured keepsake boxes and cabinet objects. This diverse grouping offers excellent decorative appeal, making it ideal for collectors of Limoges porcelain, miniature objets de vertu, or elegant display pieces. The assortment showcases a variety of forms, colors, and materials, creating an engaging presentation suitable for display in a curio cabinet, vanity, or collection.
