An impressive Spanish Colonial Revival style eight-light hanging lantern chandelier, executed in hand-wrought iron with warm copper and brass accents. The architectural open-frame form is composed of two circular twisted iron bands joined by finely turned baluster-form supports, beneath an elaborate scrolling iron canopy with decorative spiral and volute elements. Cast brass finials and ornamental pendant details provide an elegant contrast to the dark forged iron framework. The interior is fitted with eight candle-form electrified sockets arranged on a circular iron support with pierced foliate drip pans, evoking the appearance of traditional candle illumination while offering modern functionality. The combination of forged iron, twisted elements, and warm mixed-metal accents reflects the enduring influence of Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean Revival design popular throughout the early to mid-20th century. Displaying exceptional architectural presence, this chandelier is ideally suited for a grand foyer, stair hall, great room, or dining space, where its sculptural silhouette and handcrafted character can be fully appreciated.   • Circa: Mid-20th Century, circa 1940–1960.
  • Condition: Overall very good vintage condition. Presents well with an attractive aged patina to the wrought iron and brass components. Light surface wear, oxidation, and minor finish losses consistent with age and use. Candle sleeves exhibit age-related discoloration and wear. Currently wired for electricity; wiring appears to have been updated at some point and should be inspected and installed by a qualified electrician prior to use.
