An attractive assembled collection of eleven (11) Spode English earthenware plates, showcasing several of the firm's most celebrated decorative patterns. Included are three Delamere Blue dinner plates featuring the classic blue transferware floral border, three Blue Chintz dinner plates decorated in Spode's iconic all-over floral motif with blue, yellow, and green accents, three yellow-ground floral dinner plates with cobalt blue rims and central floral medallions, and two Delamere Blue salad or luncheon plates. Founded in Staffordshire in 1770 by Josiah Spode I, Spode is among England's most historically significant ceramics manufacturers. The company revolutionized English pottery through innovations in transfer printing and the development of fine bone china, becoming one of the foremost producers of tablewares collected worldwide. These examples represent Spode's continued tradition of adapting classic English floral and transferware designs for both everyday use and decorative display. Each plate measures approximately 10 1/2 inches in diameter and bears printed Spode backstamps. An appealing group suitable for use, display, or as additions to existing Spode services.

  • Condition: Overall very good estate condition. Light surface utensil marks and minor shelf wear consistent with normal household use. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs observed during cataloging. All pieces retain bright glaze and decoration. Auction photographs serve as part of the condition report.
