Pair of rare posters related to the kidnapping of infant Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr., the son of the famous aviator, from his home on Mar. 1, 1932. Included is a ‘wanted' poster, 9.5 in. x 15.5 in., March 11, 1932 and seeking information to the whereabouts of Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr. who was ‘…kidnaped from his home in Hopewell, N.J. between 8 and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 1932…'. Lindbergh, Jr.'s photographs and full description follow, and the poster requests information to be sent to either Col. H. N. Schwarzkopf or Charles Lindbergh himself. Toned folds with small splits at edges, else very good. WITH: a rare broadside from ‘The News – New York's Picture Newspaper', 11 in. x 16.5 in., showing a courtroom scene of the trial of BRUNO HAUPTMANN titled ‘LAST MINUTE PHOTO HAUPTMANN TRIAL' and reading: ‘With batteries of still and movie cameras focused upon him, Bruno Richard Hauptmann (arrow), Lindbergh kidnap suspect, is arraigned in West Farms Court on extortion charge. Magistrate Bernard Mogilesky (A) decrees: ‘No bail.' Wear and chipping to edges, else very good. Two pieces.
