29 in to top of horn. A vintage McCormick-Deering hand-cranked cream separator manufactured by the International Harvester Company of Chicago, Illinois. The machine is constructed with a heavy cast-iron pedestal base finished in dark green paint. It features a side-mounted hand crank with a turned wooden handle that drives the internal centrifugal mechanism. The upper assembly includes a large, silver-toned metal supply bowl and a spout assembly designed with two discharge outlets for the simultaneous collection of cream and skimmed milk. Two circular green metal platforms are attached to the central pedestal to support collection pails. A prominent oval brass-toned manufacturer plate is riveted to the front of the housing, bearing the McCormick-Deering name, the IHC globe logo, and the text Chicago U.S.A. Made By International Harvester Company. The item is accompanied by a vintage paper instruction manual titled Instruction Book and Parts for Ball-Bearing Cream Separator featuring the IHC logo and an original cast-iron multi-tool maintenance wrench which is stored within the supply bowl.
