Dom, 1776. Each: Re-printed by a Resolution of the House of Delegates, of the 24th February, 1816. Richmond: Ritchie, Trueheart & Du-Val, 1816. Original leather and marbled boards binding. Large quarto, 11" x 9".
Catalogue Note: This volume begins with recordings from the Second Virginia Convention, which convened on March 20, 1775, at Historic St. John's Church in Richmond. It is widely considered one of the most pivotal political assemblies in the lead-up to the American Revolution, and was where Patrick Henry gave his famous "Liberty or Death" speech.

  • Condition:

    Good overall condition, the interior is tight with minor to moderate foxing and toning, and some dampstaining. Later owner's bookplates to the front pastedown and embossed seal to the title page. The binding with wear and rubbing.
