Condition:
Shows age and tarnish as noted. Upon closer inspection, some rings exhibit light surface scratches and minor abrasions consistent with regular wear. The blue inlay on the 'Wish Upon' ring and the vibrant opal inlay on the horseshoe-style ring appear largely intact but may have microscopic wear. The ring featuring three purple stones and the large cushion-cut clear stone with a black halo both show significant oxidation and darkening to the metal, particularly in recessed areas, which may or may not be intentional patination. The modernist ring with the dark bar stone also presents with darkening to the metal surfaces. All stones appear securely set, though the larger clear stone and purple stones may have minor surface wear visible under magnification.

Item Description
Weight: Total: 27.9 grams

An eclectic collection awaits in this captivating lot of six diverse rings, offering a spectrum of styles from whimsical to modernist. This intriguing ensemble features a mix of materials, with four pieces confirmed as marked sterling silver, complemented by two additional rings crafted from an unmarked silver-tone metal, presenting a fascinating opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

The collection includes a charming wide band ring, boldly inscribed 'WISH UPON' with celestial stars accented by a vibrant blue inlay, evoking a sense of whimsical fantasy popular in late 20th to early 21st-century design. Another standout piece showcases a striking pear-shaped amethyst-like stone, elegantly framed by brilliant, iridescent blue-green synthetic opal inlay in a fluid, Southwestern-inspired motif, a style that gained significant traction from the late 20th century onwards, often drawing inspiration from natural landscapes and vibrant hues. Also featured is a ring presenting three alluring purple stones in a classic graduated setting, rendered in a darkened metal that lends a sophisticated, almost antique or Gothic-revival aesthetic, a timeless design often reinterpreted through various eras. A truly distinct piece boasts a sleek, modernist abstract design, featuring a dark, rectangular bar-shaped stone embraced by sculptural silver-tone curves, a clear nod to mid-century and contemporary minimalist artistry inspired by architectural forms. The lot further includes a dazzling contemporary cocktail ring, centered with a substantial cushion-cut clear stone, encircled by a halo of smaller dark stones, a popular and enduring design inspired by Art Deco glamour and modern sparkle. Rounding out the collection is a geometric band adorned with open circles and a single bezel-set round purple stone, reflecting a minimalist yet engaging design sensibility often seen from the 1970s through the 1990s.
