Al Biesen/Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle with Left Handed Stock and Scope Al Biesen was one of the finest American gunmakers of the 20th century building rifles for many important people of the day, including the revered outdoor writer and hunter Jack O'Connor, who called the Biesen Winchester Model 70 the perfect rifle. This rifle was built with a blued steel barrel showing no provisions for open sights with a sling swivel on the underside and "AL BIESEN GUNMAKER SPOKANE WN" marked on the top and the caliber "300 WIN MAG" marked on the left side of the chamber. The barrel is fitted to the 1941 production cloverleaf tang Winchester Model 70 action which features a jewelled bolt body and raceway, four-panel checkered bolt knob, standard Winchester markings, and a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9x scope in a Redfield style rotary mount. The replacement Blackburn one-piece bottom metal with hinged straddle floorplate and inside-the-bow release are blued. The rifle is fitted in a stunning highly figured and Al Biesen's signature fancy fleur-de-lis checkered pistol grip stock with an ebony tip, a checkered blued Biesen grip cap, left hand shadowline cheekpiece, inletted rear sling swivel, and a Decelerator recoil pad.
