(1858 - 1948) Second wife of Benjamin Harrison, the niece of his first wife and nearly 25 years his junior. Good pair of signed items, includes: A.L.S., 2pp. 12mo., [n.p.], Feb. 12, 1923, to ‘Mr. Le Baron Springer', transmitting the autographs of both herself and her husband (not present). She signs in black ink at the conclusion. Shows some toning to the first page and mounting remnants to the uninscribed interior leaves, otherwise in very good condition. WITH: A.L.S., 3pp. 8vo., [New York], April 30, 1916 to a Mr. Weitz, congratulating her correspondent on beginning a literary work and expressing her interest in finding a writer to undertake her own project. She signs very boldly in black ink at the conclusion. Shows original mailing folds and a mounting strip to the second page, otherwise in very good to fine overall condition. Two pieces.
