A scarce limited edition commemorative print published in 1994 by the Fondation Renoir pour les Arts after Pierre-Auguste Renoir's iconic masterpiece "Le Moulin de la Galette" (Bal du Moulin de la Galette). Printed in an elegant monochromatic blue palette, the image faithfully reproduces one of the most celebrated works of French Impressionism while offering a distinctive presentation created exclusively for the foundation. This example is numbered 26 of only 280 impressions and bears a pencil dedication reading "Avec les compliments de" along with a facsimile signature of Jean-Pierre Renoir, further identifying it as a special presentation edition issued by the Fondation Renoir pour les Arts in 1994. The sheet also carries the embossed seal of the foundation, attesting to its authenticity and limited production. Professionally matted and framed under glass, the print is ready for display. Pierre-Auguste Renoir's original 1876 painting "Bal du Moulin de la Galette" remains one of the defining masterpieces of French Impressionism and is housed in the permanent collection of the Musée d'Orsay, Paris. Limited foundation editions such as this appeal to collectors of Impressionist reproductions, Renoir memorabilia, and museum-issued editions. An attractive and increasingly difficult-to-find limited edition presentation print celebrating one of the most beloved paintings in Western art.
